Thoughts to Prepare for Prayer: Faith Comes by Hearing and Hearing the Word

The Holy Spirit would like to remind us of what He spoke to us a couple of Saturday Nights ago. He asked this question:  Where is our level of faith for the expectation of  miracles happening in our lives?  Paul, in Romans 10:17 told us that,  “…faith comes by hearing and hearing the Word of God.” Tonight  let us grow deeper in our faith as we hear what the Word of God in Mark 16: 20 is telling us.

In the Message: Mark 16:19-20 Then the Master Jesus, after briefing them, was taken up to heaven, and he sat down beside God in the place of honor. And the disciples went everywhere preaching, the Master working right with them, validating the Message with indisputable evidence.]

 In the Amplified Mark 16: 20 And they went out and preached everywhere, while the Lord was working with them and confirming the word by the signs that followed.]

In the Voice Translation Mark 16:20 The disciples went out proclaiming the good news; and the risen Lord continued working through them, confirming every word they spoke with the signs He performed through them.]

And in The Passion Translation Mark 16:20 And the apostles went out announcing the good news everywhere, as the Lord himself consistently worked with them, validating the message they preached with miracle-signs that accompanied them!

Notice in the above scriptures the apostles were doing something, proclaiming, announcing the good news, The Message of the Gospel.

The word Lord (Curios) in the above scriptures means: Supreme Commander , Master who has supreme ultimate Authority who is none higher than King Jesus.  Another definition for Curios: the  Lord is depicted  as the owner of the earth who works with or alongside you. 

Jesus went with the apostles accompanying them in the work of the gospel by consistently confirming the message with indisputable attesting signs and miracles. We too should be expecting miracles as our faith grows in the understanding of these scriptures. The Lord is telling us that His presence goes with us as the Master, the Supreme Commander, who accompanies us everywhere we go with His power to perform miracles. 

Praying for the Church and the Nation(s):

• Father, help us to hunger and thirst for more of Your Word, and in the hearing of it our faith, expectation levels, are increased. We declare we are not alone but are continually accompanied by our Master Jesus, the Supreme Commander, who works through us as we proclaim the Gospel with signs and wonders following.

• Let the Church in this nation and the nations of the world be busy about the Fathers business by proclaiming and preaching the Good News of the Gospel of Jesus. We declare signs and wonders to follow the church showing Your loving kindness and goodness to a lost and dying world. (Continue to pray for the church and the nation(s) led by the Holy Spirit and the Word of God.)

Conclusion: 

• Father, we thank you that the indisputable signs and wonders, miracles, are increasing as we go about preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ.  In Jesus name, amen.

LWDS Saturday Prayer June 15, 2024

Pray for the LWDS Evangelism team today as they go out sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ with signs and wonders following them.

Thoughts to Prepare for Prayer:  Excerpt from Dutch Sheets, Give Him 15 :

” In 1988, I had the thought which I knew was from the Holy Spirit, “Study the watchman concept.” I already knew about watchmen was my immediate thought. I had studied the subject, taught it, and was very familiar with the concept, yet I had the immediate and strong impression that I was missing something. There was more.” There’s always so much more with Him. I obeyed the Holy Spirit’s prompting and indeed there was more to the subject than I had seen. I discovered that the Watchman concept is not just defensive protective prayer but there is also an offensive or aggressive aspect to it. I found that the Hebrew words for watchmen were also translated, "to lay siege, to spy, and to ambush in order to conquer cities or people.”

Praying for the Church and the Nation:

• Father, we the church need to know the strategies of Heaven, Your offensive plans, empowering us to pray and reroute the enemy's plans against the nations. We have elections coming up for leadership in our nation and in many other nations. Give us utterances to speak Your promises and Your plans into these election processes, causing God fearing men and women to come into power. 

Mark 11:23 Amplified Bible 23 I assure you and most solemnly say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be lifted up and thrown into the sea!’ and [a]does not doubt in his heart [in God’s unlimited power], but believes that what he says is going to take place, it will be done for him [in accordance with God’s will].

• You have empowered the church with the authority to speak to those mountains of chaos in our nation and the nations of the world. We declare revival to take over the chaos in the world with the Gospel of Peace. We declare that the church as she walks across our land and the nations has her feet shod in The Gospel of Peace trampling out the enemies plans. We believe that Your TRUTHS are marching on!

• Father, as we pray we take the offensive and know we are mighty to the pulling down of spiritual strongholds, and as we declare Your strategies, we see spiritual principalities and the earth’s inhabitants responding to Your Word and Your love as we use the name of Jesus.

The Message 2 Corinthians 10:4-6 The world is unprincipled. It’s dog-eat-dog out there! The world doesn’t fight fair. But we don’t live or fight our battles that way—never have and never will. The tools of our trade aren’t for marketing or manipulation, but they are for demolishing that entire massively corrupt culture. We use our powerful God-tools for smashing warped philosophies, tearing down barriers erected against the truth of God, fitting every loose thought and emotion and impulse into the structure of life shaped by Christ. Our tools are ready at hand for clearing the ground of every obstruction and building lives of obedience into maturity.

• We stand in the gap on the offense with joy, peace and confidence in Your goodness. We know that it is not by our power, might, but by Your Spirit that we stand and receive the victories. We give You all the glory and praise as we give utterance to Your strategies.

• As we continue to pray for the church and the nation(s) remember this scripture: Philippians 4:6-7 The Message 6-7 Don’t fret or worry. Instead of worrying, pray. Let petitions and praises shape your worries into prayers, letting God know your concerns. Before you know it, a sense of God’s wholeness, everything coming together for good, will come and settle you down. It’s wonderful what happens when Christ displaces worry at the center of your life. 

Conclusion: James 5:16 New International Version  …The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.

• Father, we thank you that these things that we are praying out, ultimately are already done and won. And by your grace, we face those things head on as we keep our minds stayed on you. In Jesus name, amen.

Scripture Text:

John 3: 5-8  Jesus answered, “I speak an eternal truth: Unless you are born of water and the Spirit, you will never enter God’s kingdom. For the natural realm only gives birth to things that are natural, but the spiritual realm gives birth to supernatural life! You shouldn’t be amazed by my statement, You all must be born from above! For the Spirit-Wind blows as it chooses. You can hear its sound, but you don’t know where it came from or where it’s going. So it is the same with those who are Spirit-born!”

Thoughts to Prepare for Prayer: Excerpt taken from: Dutch Sheets “Give Him 15”

Jesus is building a Wind-driven church, a church that is filled with and powered by the Wind of heaven, the Spirit of God. He is building a church that knows the Spirit’s voice and releases the Spirit’s voice. “

 We are these Spirit-born people Jesus spoke of. We will be blown by the Spirit-Wind throughout the earth. Satan and his demons won’t know where we’re coming from but they will hear what is to them a terrifying sound: prison doors opening and prisoners going free. They won’t know where we’re going next until we are blown there by Spirit-Wind. Throughout the earth, we will leave a path of signs, wonders, miracles, deliverances and salvations.            Get ready for the Wind-driven church!

Praying for the Church and the Nation(s):

• Father, let our prayers for the church and the nation be mighty wind words driven by Your Holy Spirit in us. Yes, the Holy Spirit Wind Words that blow across the church in this nation causing her to rise up, and speak His supernatural Words of life over those who are lost and in need.

• We repent, as the church in this nation whose relationship with You has been mostly man driven, giving birth to natural man's ideas and not Holy Spirit driven.  We ask for Your correction and direction putting us  back on track to being a  Holy Spirit led church, a church who is led by the Winds of Your Holy Spirit and is not being led by the winds of the world.

2 Corinthians 10:5 TPT We can demolish every deceptive fantasy that opposes God and break through every arrogant attitude that is raised up in defiance of the true knowledge of God. We capture, like prisoners of war, every thought and insist that it bow in obedience to the Anointed One.

• We can and we do, demolish every vain imagination, those deceptive fantasies in the church and this nation that oppose the Fathers plan. We ask for the thoughts of those in leadership to be captured, influenced and exposed to godly changes as the Spirit born Church, speaks over them the Holy Spirit Wind Words. 

• (Excerpt from Dutch Sheets “Give Him 15”) “Release this. Come from the four winds and blow through us on dry bones everywhere. Blow across this nation, saving America. Blow into our government, our schools, our inner cities and countrysides. Blow into the Middle East and save millions. Blow into Asia, Africa, Europe, Australia and all of the Americas. Blow a scorching wind into the camp of the enemy, a saving wind to the people.”

• Continue to pray the Wind Words of the Holy Spirit over the church and the nation(s).

Conclusion:  Father, as those who are Spirit born soldiers we declare that Your Wind Words will go out through the church and the nations and shall produce Your fruit in the earth. In Jesus name, Amen

 LWDS Saturday Prayer APRIL 13, 2024

Pray for the Evangelism team today.

Matthew 28:19 Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations [help the people to learn of Me, believe in Me, and obey My words], baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,

Scripture Text:

Isaiah 6:1 says, “In the year that King Uzzia died, I saw the Lord sitting on a throne high and lifted up and the train of his robe filled the temple.”

Colossians 2:15 When He had disarmed the rulers and authorities [those supernatural forces of evil operating against us], He made a public example of them [exhibiting them as captives in His triumphal procession], having triumphed over them through the cross.

Thoughts to Prepare for Prayer: The Train of His Robe

In America we don't really have royalty here and are not very familiar with a train on a robe of a royal person. Probably the closest thing we’ve witnessed to this is, when a bride gets married and the train of her dress trails down the aisle of a church. But, if you can imagine, Isaiah says that the train of the Lord filled the temple, unlike the bride’s train who just fills the aisle of a church.

Also back in the days of Isaiah when the kings defeated another king, they would take a portion of the defeated king's robe and sew it into their train. So every time they defeated an enemy, there would be a piece of that enemy’s robe sewn into the train. Imagine this, the Lord's train filling the whole temple with all His defeated enemies sewn into that train: every sickness, every disease, poverty, everything you can imagine, every name, everything unnamed displayed on it.

Let us pray remembering this picture of our triumphant conquering King Jesus filling the temple with His train exhibiting all our enemies as defeated foes.

Praying for the Church and the Nation(s):

● Father, as we come with our petitions we see all our enemies already sewn into Your Son’s train; and because of that triumphal procession over the enemy he has made us joint heirs with Him. As joint heirs we continue to declare victory over all the supernatural forces that come against us. So, Sickness, disease, schisms, deceit and every other sin that keeps the church from coming into that position of one bride, a glorious bride, be exposed and stopped.

● We see the nations of the world and in particular our nation, sewn into and exhibited in His train, showing forth that our conquering King has already prevailed victoriously over our enemies.

● By faith we continue to declare His plan into our nation and see godly leadership taking over, allowing this nation to complete its mission to the furtherance of the Gospel of our King Jesus.

 ● As we continue to pray for our church and the nations, we look to that amazing train that exhibits His victory for us over all our defeated enemies. (Continue to Pray)

Conclusion: Romans 8:37 Amp Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors and gain an overwhelming victory through Him who loved us [so much that He died for us].

● Father, thank you for that overwhelming victory You made for us in our conquering King Jesus, Amen.
